P2 Flash Octane choices

Was browsing thru the products, noticed that the options for the P2 flashes was 91, 93, 100+, or other. What exactly is other. I live up in Oregon where they 92 oct. And I have the P2 flash for 91. Does that mean you can flash for 92 octane now? Is it possible to update my flash mine to 92 octane?

When I got my P2 flash about a month ago, I asked if I could get a 92 octane flash and they said, "sure."

They can do 92. I had a 92 flash with my WORKS catback exhaust.

They just adjust timing values in the flash since with a higher octane you can advance the timing a bit more.

So I know they can do 91, 92, 93, probably 94 since Sunoco in California has it, and probably any type of high octane 100, 110, 116 also.

I am sure they can do just about anything, give them a call.

High Octane Map?

I recently purchased a tactrix cable and download ECU Flash. I was able to get it connected to my Evo but I'm wondering if WORKS would send me a map of a 100 octane flash since I already have the P2 flash. Does anybody know?

Well, I'll have to ask WORKS then; I would need the map soon because I'm going to the street legals at the California Speedway on April 07, 2007 and I would like to hit 12's.

You should be able to run 12's now.

No contact

Well, I've e-mailed WORKS twice and posted here and still haven't received any response regarding the 100 octane map yet I see them posting in the forum. While they may have missed this thread and my e-mails (both of them) I'm looking into another option for a high octane flash. Jestr Tuning said if I send them my map they can tune it for 100 octane. Before I send the map I want to make sure it's legal that I send WORKS's map to jestr tuning. Anybody?

Slippery slope. If you have a recent WORKS flash, it will be "encrypted." This can be unlocked very easily by readily available methods, which I'm sure Jestr is well aware of.

Now, the whole "intellectual property" thing is something WORKS takes seriously. They definitely don't want you to send their map to anyone to modify, and take steps (e.g. "encryption") to prevent this.

However, in my opinion, they don't have a leg to stand on since the ECU is your property and the code they overwrote was Mitsubishi's. So if overwriting their code is illegal, then them overwriting Mitsu's code was also illegal.

Okay, well since WORKS refuses to help I'd like to go to Jestr Tuning. However, I don't believe it's right to send out WORKS map to other companies for tuning so I guess I'm stuck. I'll try to tune it myself I guess.
