What sets WORKS apart?
We have been receiving a number of inquiries regarding WORKS' tuning philosophy and what it is that we think makes us unique in the EVO tuning scene. Here are some of the distinguishing characteristics that we think people should know about our organization:
We in-house design and manufacture our own products and we only offer parts for the EVO. We are EVO enthusiasts ourselves, and by focusing our product development to one specific platform, we are able to ensure that 100% of our R&D goes into designing and building the best possible products available for the EVO, bar none. In fact, we began our initial R&D program on an EVO VII well before the U.S. EVO VIII arrived in anticipation of the EVO VIII's arrival on our shores.
We offer a comprehensive and fully integrated line of performance products. This includes upgrades to all aspects of the car including suspension, chassis, engine, and brakes. All of our products are designed to work perfectly together so whether EVO owners are interested in road racing, rallying, drifting, drag racing, autocross or just improved street performance, we have products to help take the EVO to the next level.
We are the first and only company to offer remapping of the factory ECU. This is the backbone for our entire line of engine performance products. Whether someone orders an upgraded exhaust, big bore throttle body, upgraded intercooler plumbing, or water injection from us, each product comes with its own reflash of the factory ECU optimized to extract the maximum reliable performance from the modification. For customers buying multiple products at once, the ECU reflash is optimized for how the products work together.
We use technology to our advantage. As an example, we used a $300,000 Cyrax laser scanner to generate a point cloud of the entire exterior of the car in designing our forthcoming line of aero components for the EVO. Where other manufacturers might use clay or foam models to generate molds, we use industrial design programs that are directly inputting to CNC machines in generating ultra precise reverse molds. This enables us to both benefit from a shorter product cycle, but to also offer products with more precision and tighter tolerances than using traditional methods. It is only through using OEM-level technology that we can bring OEM caliber aftermarket tuning products to EVO owners.
In short, WORKS offers what no one else can: tuning enhancements to take the EVO to the next level. For some, stock is good enough. For some, off-the-shelf products will do. For the select few, there is WORKS.
