Re: wheels

Hi,

I contacted you guys through your website and haven't gotten a response, I would like to know if the 18x8.5 wheels with 265/35/18 you guys sell will rub while turning, or hard driving, also if i lower the car with H&R spings about 1 inch will the wheels still fit without rubbing. I am also waiting for the ECU, any info about when it will come out for the California cars.

Thanks

Hello trev0006,

I saw the Works project car in action at Thunderhill, and it has a set of coil overs which they were adjusting the heights for fine tuning, and i believe that they do not rub at all.
About the only problem that they have run into is a chunk of tire came off on the second trackday due to a tire defect.
On the first day, they were flying around the track doing the skidpad and slalom, awesome sight!

Works was using the Kuhmo 700s, and they looked awesome, filling out the wheelwells nicely!

Same tyres I had on my C4s. They are awesome. Hit a pothole in the rain while slowing down for the tollbooth after the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and bent my right-front rim. Kumho's held air for almost a week, until I got my 18" R/H replacements.
