croxx plate

My front lower braces have been removed by the previous owner and I believe it is due to clearance issues with the APS downpipe. I noticed the croxx plate II acts as the lower braces a shield and has a slit in it, would my APS downpipe's bend fit nicely in the slit allowing me to keep my d/p and front lower braces (in the form of croxx plate II)??

The Croxx plate has a cutout in the plate for the downpipe...plus you could always add another washer or two to bring it down a bit.

The opening on the Croxx Plate II allows for clearance for most 3" DPs. There are some exceptions (mostly the custom pipes used with larger aftermarket turbos). In that case, we've trimmed the plate some and/or used washers like Mark mentions.

very good, I believe my corner entry speeds suffer from lack of front under braces i feel some body roll. Now i could be mistaken for I have no driven my evo with the braces in but it just does not feel as rigid as I suppose it should. I am going to order this croxx plate thanks for your help.

Yeah, if those dinky cross bars aren't even on right now and you add the Croxx plate which is a noticeable improvement over those your in for a very nice surprise in how the chassis is going to stiffen up in the front.

I would highly recommend you also add the WORKS adjustable rear sway bar to compliment the front Croxx plate. That helps a ton also...I have had it on both my VIII and now on my IX.

You won't be disappointed in the quality and performance of those products. Just the other day (its winter here in Minnesota) I was driving down a side street and hit a decent size ice/snow chunk with my tire and it flew under the car and I heard it hit the Croxx plate and bounce off, gotta love the skid plate protection!
