Does Works DP fits OEM heat sheild?
Does Works DP fits OEM heat sheild?
I am looking forward to purchase a works dp in the future.
Did anyone try to fit the heat sheild from the O.E. dp?
If it fits I will be getting one hopefully soon.
Also, how loud is the stealth muffler? Need feed back.

Evossl,
If you are referring to the heat shield that physically clamps over the stock down pipe, in our experience it does not fit as the stock down pipe is a narrower diameter. It might be possible to jerry-rig it on, but its not something that we have tried or recommend doing. If you have a non-ACD car ('03-'04) missing the heat shield shouldn't be an issue at all. For '05-'06 cars with ACD we do sell a downpipe with a special thermal coating to keep the heat in, and away from any components that it could possibly damage.
The StealthWORKS muffler is fairly quiet, not a whole lot louder than stock. Of course the more you open up the rest of the engines breathing (exhaust, air filter, cams) the louder it will become.
hope this helps
