Thanks WORKS for the kind words!
I would like to thank the WORKS team for the kind words in the Fall 2008 WORKS Newsletter about the EVOlutionary/Showcase Mitsubishi team's results at the SCCA Solo2 Nationals.

We've had a couple great years with this car! After Andy sold the 2006 Showcase BSP car I bought the current car in spring, 2007 to build up to campaign in SM. At that time there were very few IX RS's left east of the Mississippi, so I had to fly out to NJ to pick it up! It started off with a solid base of WORKS suspension and power parts, and has gone through a year and a half of continuous development to get where it is today.
Last year I took 3rd at Nationals in SM. This year, with a little more tweaking and fine tuning we were able to take 1st and 2nd in Street Mod (with me only 0.008 seconds behind Andy after 2 days of racing!) as well as a 1st in XPL. My ultimate goal was to build a car that would allow me and Andy to take 1st and 2nd overall with not regard to order -- GOAL ACCOMPLISHED!!
WORKS parts have been prominent in the Autocross scene since the introduction of the EVO in the US, and have been a key to the success of all the past and present Showcase cars. Past and present Showcase EVOs have won 9 National Solo2 Championships since 2005, and about double that number of Nationals trophies.
Thanks to the WORKS team for all your support over the years! I look forward to another great year in 2009! (How does a WORKS/EVOlutionary/Showcase 2700#, 450whp X-Prepared EVO X sound?
)
