Larger FMIC questions

David,

Is a reflash needed if I add a larger FMIC (Perrin)...Also, are you planning on producing one?

Oh, If a reflash is needed - do you have one ready?

A reflash is not critical with a larger IC. We prefer running Water Injection with the stock intercooler rather than upgrading the intercooler core. The reason we choose to offer water injection is that you get the cooling benefits associated with a larger intercooler core, without the lag inherent in pressure drop needed to fill the larger volume of a higher capacity core. In addition, the water injection helps boost the effective octane of pump gas, works well even when the intercooler core is not seeing much if any air flow (i.e. heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic) and helps clean carbon build-up out of the cylinder head while reducing tail-pipe emissions. Lastly, the stock intercooler looks, well, stock whereas a larger front mount intercooler -- in particular if it has a logo -- is a sure sign that the care has been modified (for those of you concerned about law enforcement surveillance).

So, that's a no? Safe? Warranty intact with the P2?
