Question about the P2

I recently got the P2 for my evo and I have noticed that there is a dead space between 3 and 4k rpms. I can accelerate fine until 3k then it lags until 4k rpms. If I floor it there's no problem, it only happens durning normal driving conditions.

I have the P2 as well. I dont notice a dead space between 3-4k rpm. With the aperture and
ehale , power seems to come on at 3200 rpm and climb from there. What diameter is your downpipe? Works told me that they saw better gains with a 2.75inch downpipe than a 3.0inch downpipe when using the standard turbo. could that have something to do with it? You dont have an aftermarket intake do you?

Thanks for the info dyuyeno. I have a 3in downpipe and I do not have an aftermarket intake. The dead space is kind of getting annoying. Maybe I get rid of the 3in downpipe and get a 2.75in. Does anyone else know what it good be...

Call Works and see what they have to say. They've been very helpful when I've called. You can ask them what their hp and torque curves looked like with the stock turbo and 3 inch downpipe. Get the throttle body next - was a nice addition to my car!

I have a 3in Helix DP. Mine pulls hard from 3k to redline. It might be something else like the HKS TT Type 1 (is that a BOV?).
Or maybe your ECU is learning still.

I think the hks tt is a turbo timer.
