Endless brake pad question
Endless brake pad question
Is there a huge difference between the BP1s and the Endless pads? Since the BP1 is a street pad, how does it compare to the Vita Nuovas or the SuperStreet-S-sports, both of which are geared for the street?
Also, is there a problem with squealing on the Endless pads or the BP1s? I ran Carbotech Bobcats and unfortunately, they made a bit too much noise for my taste, even though they were street pads. I am hoping to not run into that issue again.
Thanks!

I bought SuperStreet-S-sports and they squeaked! It think had something to with the installer. I'm going try to go out to Works to have them installed and bedded properly. This brake situation is getting to be a pain in the a$$.
I've got the endless s-sports as well, and works installed them correctly. Also bedded them in correctly. They stop wonderfully, but still squeak a tiny bit, not too obtrusive. I think that it's just going to be a pad thatv squeaks a bit. Great under heavy braking however.

Cold bite is not quite as good, the pads need a little bit of heat in them to work properly. I got them in preparation for my initial foray onto the track this september at thunderhill. they are more than fine on the street however. Just need a few stops in them. Past that they are better than the stock pads. no doubt.

I took the leap of faith and decided to get the SuperStreet-S-sports. So far, once they heat up a bit, they are amazing pads. Not quite the cold bite of the Carbotech Bobcats I had, but no where near as noisy. Tyler and Pete layered the shims and back of the pads with brake quiet so the pads are pretty quiet. Once they get heated up, they do make a little bit of squealing, but not much different from the OEM Brembo pads. When I was coming home, I decided to mash on the pedal on the off ramp since there weren't any cars around and 0mph came much more quickly than before. Overall, a definite two thumbs up.

I've had these pads (Endless SS-S) for a while now (since late April or so) and I really like them. I've driven really hard on them and they have yet to let me down. I'm curious to see how they'll do at the next EOC meet.
They squeak when cold, but like you said, once they've warmed up, they are outstanding. These pads, combined with Endless SS lines, ATE Super Blue and Endless 2-piece rotors, make my Evo stand on its nose. Wild stuff...

where did you find the rotors? did you have to sell your kidney on the black market for them? I have about 32,000 on my stock pads and rotors. I drive and brake like a gradma pretty much but have notice a lip on my front discs, haven't really looked at my back ones. about to install the endless ss-s pads. do you think that I it will work ok with the mileage I already have on my stock rotors? thanks in advance.
I was thinking about buying the Endless rotors from WORKS since they sell them, but I have yet to convince the wife I need them.
Your setup sounds pretty hardcore, Chris. I'd love to check them out at the next SoCal meet in August, if you don't mind.

The BP1's are semi-metallic and will perform as good as the SS-S when brought up to to temp although they have a tendency to wear rotors much faster.
-Endless Vita Nuovas are a step above the stock Brembos which are good for all around Street Performance.
-SuperStreet-S-sports are for the spirited street driver who does occasional track days or auto-x's. Temp. range 32-932F, Avg Friction Coef. 0.35-0.43
-Type CC-X are for the aggressive street driver who participates in frequent track days or auto-x's. These ceramic, carbon, metal pads are excellant for hard-braking controllability. Temp. range 210-1300F, Avg Friction Coef. 0.35-0.45
-MA45B are the Endless flagship pads. These semi-metallic pads are used in the 24 Hr. Le Mans Race all the way to World Rally Championships. Enough said. Temp. range 650-1525F, Avg Friction Coef. 0.3-0.35
