I was thinking about getting the HUD now that I have the Defi-Link system. Would be easier to see my speed. Are you able to have it display in MPH instead of KMH?

 

yes, it displays in MPH. I have one and like it a lot. I only have rpm and mph displayed right now. the MPH numbers are easy to read, but the tachometer numbers are very hard to read and not too practical. I really only use the shift lights anyway.

It makes me wonder, if I use the HUD to display other things, like oil temp etc (like I was planning), will it be too small to see?

if 280 bucks is sale price for a single gauge I would hate to see what they charge normally

 

We have no control over what Defi sets their prices at (MSRP is $294 for the gauge you mentioned). Defi gauges are not cheap (both in price and quality). These are some of the best gauges we've run across. These are also electronic gauges that offer memory replay and other options you won't find with mechanical (and other electronic) gauges.

 

I have one Defi guage, and waited like 3 months to get it because the US was sold out.

I wish the VSD had some sort of Turbo Timer capability. Trying to kill multiple birds at once here...

 

Technically, the Apex'i gauges also offer record and playback, but 30 seconds versus the 2 minutes that the Defi gauges can record.

Yeah, I'm good at that. I wanted the HUD on my 03, but never got it. I'm seriously thinking about it again, but depends. I also want a boost guage and turbo timer. Would like to do as little wiring as possible.

Not sure if I want the Defi link setup then or not.
