I'm not on the forum as much but every time I pop in I check out your updates. Looking good, hope you never have to part ways with this car, you have fine a lot to it and everything came together so well.

Ugh, that blanket took three hours to install! So, so tight down there, but still had room for those retaining springs to pass by the wg lever and around the flanges. Routing the springs required attaching guide wires and some manual prestidigitation!

Just got back from a quick drive to decompress, and popped the hood to take a look-see at the new blanket. The heat wave that normally hits my face just isn't there anymore! Man, I've been hearing, since the beginning of this build, suggestions to ceramic coat, wrap, blanket, protect the piping, turbo, etc. Some of it you heed, and some of it you don't, and some of it you learn by trial and error and then realize what you should have done in the first place. This is one of the latter for if I had done this I probably wouldn't have blistered the paint on my hood. I have to wonder if I would have even needed the liner I put under the hood. In any case, it's night and day with the blanket...I'm impressed!

Amen...I'm considering a couple of options. First, I learned about Forced Four Engineering's "simple to use automatic transmission handheld shift box," and then learned of Fastworks', (formerly UVTune, in which I'm currently a beta tester) ability to accomplish the same.
