I haven't been on the dyno since I was running about 7 psi...made 216whp on a mustang dyno. I calculated conservatively at 10hp per psi I should be making about 280 at 12psi using this turbo...I think my limiting factors are the MAF, stock exhaust after cat, and small turbo...I'm running a recirculating MAF system, much like an OEM configuration...I'm not sure where my injectors will max out though.

Josh, if you go with a thicker head gasket and head studs, as long as you tune out the knock, you should be able to run 14psi no problem.

Almost 380 but its not safe.
The rods are too thin and the pistons wont resist too much.

380 is a little tall for a stock block? what is done to the motor? head studs and a thicker gasket would make it a little more friendly...

i upped boost to 10psi maf volts are same as they were at 6psi 4.7 it took s a bit of fiddling with the MAF scaling but all is well now. MAF Scaling is 4.7v and 260.8g/s but my MAF size is 475g/s i am still figuring it out i may have the numbers backwards but it s fueling well hitting the target.

Do you mind sharing what Kind of timing curve are you runing in the tune?

maybe share a map of it or a log?

We have a mirage turbo, forged internals, evo 9 turbo, cams, with some custom parts, etc

but are having a hard time tuning the car to its full potential

It would be really nice to share some info, if you are ok with it.

PM Works also!

thanks

Joe4g69, did you reduce the compression ratio of the engine? is amazing that our 4g69 resist that psi with the original compression.

No i didnt,was all stock

Sadly the stock pistons couldnt handle that power for much time, they handle at most 310whp
I made 312whp @10psi
But i was cocky and wanted more and they went BOOM

you made 312 at 10psi? if your AFR's were safe, you must have been running A LOT of timing...

I blew my engine at 18psi with a 20g turbo...i'm fairly certain now that it only blew up because my meth/water injection pump failed... I ran 14psi for years, racing nearly every weekend with zero issues on 94 octane fuel, without water/alcohol injection...

do you have any datalogs from when it was running?
