Weird transmission symptoms
Here's my dilemma....
I'm going to try to explain this as best as possible ...
While accelerating my RPM's will jump up and come back down before it catches the gear, as well when accelerating when I take my foot off the gas pedal the RPM's will go up slightly for a half a second and then come back down.
It's jerky while driving ... tonight I had a new one, when I hit about 2500RPM's launched and I smelled something burning in the cabin.
So is this a fluid issue? or is my clutch gone?
These f****** cars are a damn money pit!!
2009 Ralliart with about 118,000kms on it.
And of course my AWC pump is gone ... cause that's another cheap fix ... sorry for the rant
Thanks

Just to get it out of the way - this is a sports sedan with expensive hardware: AWD, diffs, turbo engine, dual-clutch gearbox. It is not an inexpensive car to maintain or fix and it's not supposed to be.
The symptom you are describing sounds like classic clutch slipping (possibly other issues too). I'd be talking to Jacks Transmissions or Kozmic.
In the odd chance that fluid could help, how long ago did you change it? Should have been done a minimum of 2 times so far, preferably 4 and only with OEM Diaqueen SSTF-1.

I've bought the car with 20,000kms on it ... It was changed before I bought it, then it was changed twice since I've owned it, and yes always with the proper fluid.

Since fluid was done properly, I'm afraid you'd need a rebuild. Dealerships can only offer you a new transmission (which is insanely expensive), but you can ship your SST to Jacks Transmissions:
