Why is E85 better for my EVO? E85 allows you to use more boost safely.
Also what are the mods I need to get done to my car in order to use E85? You need to get bigger injectors because it uses more fuel to be sprayed. I used the PTE 1200cc injectors on my FP Green and never went over 80% and made high 400s and low 500s with it. You also need to upgrade your pump to at least a walbro 255, but it is wise to go higher now. You also may for good measure want to upgrade to a coil on plug setup. I ran it for awhile with stock and it was great and then I ran someones COP setup and it ran a ton better. You will also need a new tune. You can get a dual tune downloaded on your stock ECU for 93 gas and for E85. I like AWDs tuner and I also like TSComptune.

Redbud23 is right, and you can also add more timing, leaner AFR. The down side is the lower mpg, but it's offset pretty well by the lower price of E85.
You posted this in a competition thread, so if you're wonder why E85 for racing is better, then it boils down to more power at a cooler combustion temp.

e85 has a hotter ignition point and can be run leaner than typical gas. It's potential for energy is higher and is comparable to something like 100 octane. You need injectors, a fuel pump and a new tune.
