I don't know what your hang up is... do you run E85? Have you ever run E85? Have you ever tuned a car on E85?

Again, stop being an arrogant little butthole... razorlab used to be a pro tuner and it is common knowledge that a real walbro 255 is more than capable to run E85 safely... And you claim of aeromotive pumps is also incorrect... have you checked how much current those draw compared to a walbro 255... it would need a rewire to see any gains compared to a walbro 255...

It could be that the shop is just trying to up sell OP and isn't incompetent, just greedy. As for "approved for E85"...i mean you would have to replace the entire power train under this logic.

This thread is f'n HILARIOUS!! 10 years of casual use on mitsu-related forums and this one is gold.
However, I'm posting because I drove past one of 3 local pa philly suburb E85 gas stations and I've been strongly considering changing things up. 2003 VIII, stock turbo, 131k, stock bcs/boost its whole life with typical bolt-ons. BORING, I know.
Walbro 255, 1000cc injectors, grimmspeed 3port to go in.
Existing mods are: Greddy Ti-C Comp race exhaust, ETS LP2 LICP, ETS short-route UICP, Exedy HD clutch, ACT streetlite flywheel, AMS air filter, silicone intake pipe, cracka crankcase vents, evo 9 bov, NGK BPR7IX plugs, NOS energy drink in cupholder...
I'm not looking for 400hp. That's silly and unrealistic for what I have done. I'm not sure of my compression but I'm sure it's solid. I want to see what I can get from a reputable, seasoned tuner and post it here.
I'll do my best to get numbers back by the end of July. All for you 3gturdbro!

Kinda. It was fine with no problems when I ran my old MAP turbo. 450whp on e85 for track days. I beat on it.
later, I did a voluntary rebuild because the car was down, though it didn't need it (insert regret here).
Now I am back on stock internals, with new bearings.
