Customer Key Programming (from mitsubishi-forums.com for 2004 Endeavor)
You can program new keys to the system if you have 2 valid (already registered) keys by doing the following;
1. Insert the first valid key into the ignition and turn the ignition to the "ON" position for 5 seconds.
2. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position and remove the first key.
3. Within 7 seconds of removing the first key, insert the second valid key into the ignition and turn it to "ON" position. About 10 seconds later, the immobilizer indicator will start flashing.
4. When the immobilizer indicator starts flashing, turn the second valid key to the "OFF" position and remove it. Within 7 seconds after doing so, insert a blank immobilizer key (specially cut for your vehicle at your Mitsubishi dealer) into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. Perform this operation no more than 30 seconds after the immobilizer indicator starts flashing. If an error occurs, the immobilizer indicator will go off.
5. If you wish to register another key, perform the process again from step1.
NOTE
* It is not possible to register a key if:
- the immobilizer indicator goes off during the procedure
- the immobilizer indicator does not come on for 3 seconds after step 4
* The procedure will be terminated automatically if:
- more than 7 seconds elapse between removal of the first key and insertion of the second key into the ignition
- more than 30 seconds elapse after the immobilizer indicator starts flashing
Unable to confirm however, perhaps the "valet" key can be used as the second valid key if only one valid key is available, to program the blank immobilizer key!

This is what I have been searching for. I want to ask the people that did this... does the blank key come with the immobilizer chip? Is that the chip that needs to be taken out and glued into the flip key? I have both of my original keys, I do not want to cut them up and from the above post I should be able to program the new chip cause I have 2 programed keys. Correct me if I am wrong or missing anything.

Buy a blank transponder key.
Cut it up to remove transponder(little black wedge thing).
Glue transponder into new flip key housing. This is sort of a pain as it needs to go in the flippy housing end. Fits perfectly. Not in with fob guts though, mine didn't work there. The spring might try to get away so be careful. While you have it apart get the key itself cut. This saves you doing it twice as the key has to be out of it's housing to fit in the key cutter.
Reassemble key.
Follow programming instructions.
Mine was finnicky and needed programming 3 times, dunno why, but it's working great now.

Wasn't the first link for a blank transponder key? Wonder what was the purpose of the first link if we have to hack up the oem key as well? I want to get this done and hope someone can guide me to the correct parts. Thank You guys for all the input and for this thread.

Anyway to have a "blank" transponder programmed to a current one? I've had 5 evos and 3 transponders but each one is different meaning the car programs to the transponder not the other way around. currently I have 2 different evo 8 transponders and 1 evo 9.I need all three to work on the same car.

Any pics of inside of this after mod. I received mine today and it looks like the battery location on the new one is on the opposite end of the contacts. Just wanting to see how you did it. Thanks

This is amazing, I always wondered if we could do this.
I never bothered into looking it because it wasn't a big deal.
After seeing the pictures I definitely will do this.
