Different alky mixes besides 100% and 50/50??
Is anyone running something other than either straight methanol or a 50/50 mix of it?
I was thinking about running about a 66/33 mix of meth to water. I understand the stock intercooler spray resevoir is 1.5gal. I was thinking to get 1gal of meth and 0.5gal of water and mix them. That would be 66/33 and would lean more towards the hp of pure meth, but still have safety of the 50/50.
Thoughts?

If you add more than 50% meth, I don't think you'll have the same flammability (or lack thereof) as 50/50. When I did a lot of web surfing on this topic, it seemed that you needed to get down to 33% to have absolutely no flammability. It's easy to test though. Mix it up, put it on the ground and throw a match on it. That doesn't mean that it will ignite on a hot engine, but at least you know the worst case scenario in case you get a real engine fire from something other than the alky.

If your'e worry run 50/50. I don't think it should be an issue.

why do you want to run a mix. whats wrong with running straight meth?
Me and a few of my buddies in the car club here just bought a 54 gallon drum of methanol.

100% methanol makes most HP, but has the least amount of resistance to flamability. NOTICE: METHANOL BURNS CLEAR, YOU REALLY CAN'T SEE THE FLAME . But also remember it has a less flamability rate than gasoline so its not THAT much of a worry unless your car sits in 90degree+ weather all day, and even in that case it usually just evaporates (been in that situation in AZ).
50/50% methanol/water adds the benefit of BETTER cooling the intake charge over 100% meth.
75/25% methanol/water makes more power than 50/50% but still less than 100% meth.

There's also the issue of the more alky you inject, the more chance that you'll hurt the motor if the system fails, because, assuming the same nozzle size, you are going to pull out more fuel if you are injecting more alcohol. And better to keep a larger nozzle and inject water with the reduced level of alcohol than just inject less alcohol with a smaller nozzle due to the cooling effect of the water.

i run 50/50 at the track. it helps prevent knock from fuel slosh and keeps the intake charge cool. i tune it for safety, not performance. i run 100% on the street/strip and tune accordingly.

The 7gph nozzle (AFAIK the standard size) works out to some ~220cc/min of water at a 50% mix, which should be ok. That being said, I would not consider using more than about 50% water.
People talk about the dangers of methanol, but the reality is water is far more dangerous to your engine.

100% it is. Plus I wont have to worry about getting the same concentration each time
