3rd gear just up and left!?!?
So my Evo V transmission used to shift like butter, no issues at all, until just a couple of days ago I left from a stop... 1st, 2nd, no 3rd!?!?! What the heck? It just disappeared. No grinds, no noise, I just completely lost 3rd gear. 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and reverse still work. Any ideas on what could have happened?

Today I tried disconnecting the linkage and manually putting it into 3rd gear at the transmission. It feels like it goes in, but when I start it and let the clutch out it just pops out of gear like it's not fully engaged. The selector goes the same distance with the shifter and on the transmission, so to me that says the linkage isn't the issue. What could be preventing it from going into 3rd gear?
