Rusty Exhaust Manifold?
I went to check out an Evo IX the other day. It has 11K miles on the odo and it lived in NY for most of it's life. There was a ton of rust on the exhaust manifold. Is that normal for cars from the NE? Will the rust be a problem later? What about the rest of the car? Will the rest of it become a rust bucket eventually?

I bought my car in San Diego but it came from Maine originally. It did have quite a bit of corrosion in the engine bay and under the car but I was able to remove it all easily with a wire brush. The manifold is pretty common - I believe- to look like that. Mine did, and still does, resemble the manifold in your picture. Most of the evos ive seen with stock mani's look the same way.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess a rusty manifold is pretty common. Might have to get one of those coated manifolds.
Are there any other areas of the car which is prone to rust on a car that sees alot of snow?
