exhaust studs help

ok well the previous owner kept the hood vent sheild out of the car and the bolts on the exhaust manifold or all rusted. now my questiion is..... is there a way to take them out and put new ones in without taking the head to the machine shop?

Yes spray them with liberal amounts of PB blaster after the turbo kit and manifold has been removed, then, using a stud puller, back the old studs out. They should come out fairly easily and some may even come out when you try to back the nuts off. Make sure you use a thread sealer on the new ones or you may end up with a slight oil seap from the new studs as some of them go into an oil passage. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
