Ride quality compare to S2000.? Help!

I am seriously considering getting an EVO. But now the problem is ride quality. Personally I don't really care about it becuase of the performance it gives. The problem is I have to drive my mom around all the time (she doesn't drive). Nothing really far away 30 mins max. So how bad is it?

Right now I drives a 01 Toyota Celica GT-S. The only sport car I have ride in is the Honda S2000. So how do they compare?

Thanks in advance!

I have a similar situation with my mom, and she loves the car. The ride isn't as stiff as its made out to be and no more extreme then a car with lowering springs. I don't think it should be a prob unless shes overly used to a Lincoln on air suspension.

I agree. She just won't be able to sleep in the car at all on long trips, hehe.

I'd say the ride is a little stiffer than the S2K.

I have an S2000 and I would say the Evo is a little "softer".

It has a lot higher CoG and therefore has more bodyroll. Very comfortable car IMHO.

If you have to drive your mom around, I wouldn't suggest getting an Evo.

Thanks for all the responds! You guys are great

Anyway I am getting mixed impression comparing the ride of the EVO to the S2000. I heard that the newer S2K has revised stiffer suspension (those with the glass rear window). Are those saying it is softier has the newer S2K or the older ones? Btw, the one I rode in was an 03' .

Moki97: Yea I know the EVO isn't the best car to drive my mom around but I have dreamed of owning an EVO ever since EVO V. I might try to get a test drive or even a "test ride" from the dealer but they don't sound all that willing to let people test drive the EVO .

Airakien,

When my buddy and I went to the dealer. I had no intention of buying one. We just wanted to mess with the sales guy. Then he talked me into doing a credit check. Once he saw how good my credit was, he took my buddy and I for a test drive. After test driving the **** out of it up in the hills. I fell in love with it and I bought it that day.
