What WHP Does One Need to Keep Up With a 600cc Bike?

Just out of curiosity, at what horsepower level are you guys keeping up with/beating regular bolt on 600cc street bikes (Obviously, in an Evo VIII/IX)? I beat a CBR 600 in my 03' Cobra, and that had 475whp (however, less driveline loss), so I'm just wondering what it takes in these cars. Before the Anti-Street Racing **** party comes in and tries to ship me off, I'll add the disclaimer that we're racing legally, whether it be at a drag strip, closed airport runway, or roll racing in the Salt Flats. Lets hear it

I definitely beat a 600cc with less than 475. Although Evos won't have the pull up top of a Cobra, you won't need it because 600's start to run out of steam up top. If you can run from a 50+ then low 400's will work.

Ive done tons of racing and I have owned several bikes, On average 550-650 whp will beat a 600 With a good 175 lb rider. But you can find all kinds of videos online of 400 horsepower cars beating bikes, but thats just because 80% of people that ride are squids and dont know how to ride.

*edit Just noticed you have a 35r, you wont beat one on pump gas but if you turn up the boost on a racegas tune you will be able to. I had a 35r and would eat 600s up all day.

This. I've smoked 600cc bikes easily (on closed course in Mexico obviously), but most of them are not heavily modified and not terribly well driven.

I have beat a number of them, not brand new but not old ones that run 12's either.

Most 600cc bikes run 11's from high to low and some if good crack high 10's. Again depending on rider and the bike. Which is not hard to accomplish in an evo at all with the right mods and with the use of e85.

I'm 99% sure this exact thread already exists and all the highs and lows and factors are discussed in there....
Depending on the yr of the bike, the mods, the fatness of the rider, his inabillity to ride it, the speed at which you start and finish, the planet turjectory alignment of the stars in the milkyway... etc....... all depend... and as mention you'll need no less than 400whp to beat the slowest of slow and probably closer to 600whp to beat the fastest of fast.

I spanked a kawasaki 600 pretty good. Made 613whp on a dynojet. Raced a cbr1000 aswell. From a slower roll he pulled pretty good but when we hit the highway he always got the hit and pulled a bit but never lost me.

If I'm not mistaken, those are brand new 2011 bikes with a pro rider, correct?

I enjoy discussion, thus my creation of the thread. I'm sure at some point every topic imaginable has been covered on here, so what's the big deal?
