Cleaning question for anyone with Rays gramlights or Volk bronze wheels
I have Rays gramlights 57S in bronze and was washing the car today for the first time in forever, and cleaned up the wheels real good, but cant get a few brake dust spots off of my bronze wheels..like its kinda stained all over all of em from sitting there too long. For those with this color bronze, what is the best products you guys use on your wheels? I usually just use the car shampoo I wash the car with "Meguiars Gold Class"

The car shampoo is too soft for caked on brake dust.
Buy a bottle of Meguiars Hot Wheel cleaner. Make sure the wheel is cooled off. Spray the wheel cleaner on, let it soak, then agitate those areas with a soft brush.
If that doesn't do the trick then claying the wheel will. Yes the same clay used before waxing a paint finish. The clay will pick up those brake dust deposits easily.

sweet...if you are familiar with the finish of the bronze on the 57S gramlights, its not like its got a clear coat or anything over it, but more of a powdercoated Matte Bronze finish. Will the Meguiars Hot Wheels cleaner hurt wheels like this? Is it just made for shiny wheels?

If its clearcoated, yes.
If its not, just make sure the wheel is COOL before cleaning. And don't let the cleaner sit on the wheel for more than the required amount on the directions. Unprotected polished aluminum lips don't like that.
I should know. I've got RO_JA Formula 5's which are a biatch to keep perfect.

What about waxing the 57S in bronze? Is it ok to do that even though there is no clearcoat? Any better method to protect the finish other then wax? Thanks
