Oh I know man and thanks, fingers crossed lol I'll make it for either way lol

tires: 275/35/18 bfg rivals

Whose widebody parts are you using?

A crazy combo of Sorts. Alot of customization by myself.
As you can see by the picture, i am running a Voltex front over fender, but on my OEM fender, which it was not designed to fit on. So i have had to modify the over fender as well as the OEM fender. Some metal work, welding and bondo. They are then being pulled and attached into the Voltex side skirts like the old Tilton setup.
So the font is going to look alot like the picture below, short of the venting work on the skirt.

I am doing the APR wide fender flares for the rear and then doing some custom work to get them to work on the JDM rear still instead of using their bumper. Basically going do some similar style work to the R-Magic RX-7 rear only a bit less extreme. I am going to make new rear diffuser end plates and similar small rear bumper canards.

I test fitted my friend's evo X wheels on my car. My car has significantly pulled rear fenders that was done at a body shop with paint after that. Wanted to see how far it could be pushed. The wheels are te37 18x10.5 +15 with 275 35 18 nitto nt555 tires. Check my previous post here for suspension setup and full clearance details.

Testing wheel travel:

I have ohlins 10k front, 12k rear springs. I also have 22mm whiteline rsb, all the other wheels were on the ground.

Good to know I can basically run over a concrete parking curb without bottoming out I guess.

The plastic ear from the bumper is the closest it gets with the wheel chalk.

Front looked ok.

The other side I really forced it with a jack.

I got some contact from the point of the key and backwards on the last 5mm of travel I could managed with just jacking that tire. All the other tires were still on the ground. Any more jacking just raised the car and didn't stroke the wheel anymore. I dunno if I managed to bottom out the coilover, you can judge my ride height from the initial pics. I can't say I'm 100% sure I did TBH. I didn't set the ride height btw for looks, I set it because my roll center and handling sucked on a road course, and this ride height is the lowest I can go without big sacrifices with handling. But I also know it means I'm not needing as much clearance to run more aggressive wheel/tire combos.

Seems like it would fit with just a bit more camber. What I really want to fit is 275s on 18x10.5+20 (ce28rt) but my bfg rivals seem to run like 285s so I thought this would be a good test.

I would say that doesn't fit. First time you hit a real bump you're going to have problems. The suspension strokes far enough to tuck the whole tire.

The best way to check clearance is to remove the strut & disconnect the RSB

Anyway, (18x10.5 +15) This wheel is not correct for the stock body EVO

There is definitely more travel in the coilovers. Bumps in a corner will tuck the wheel up in the wheel well a bit more.

From what I can see, you would need more than just camber to completely fit, but as mentioned above the real problem is that those wheels are just the wrong fitment for the vehicle.

Checking travel/contact without unbolting the suspension is like foreplay with no sex.

absolutely no way that will work for anything other than careful daily driving with no passengers. i once tried an 18x10.5 +25 or +27 (i forget) with a stretched 255 tire and had issues. it was ridiculous LOL

Well I guess we'll see eventually if I decide to go to that setup. My advantage is I don't mind running more camber in the rear (up to -2.2) and my ride height is so high up that by the time the wheels go to tuck the camber has ramped up even higher. Not the same as someone that's low for looks. I'm also not afraid of more bodywork/paint on the rear quarters. Worst case......there is someone I know that makes adjustable rear toe arms to control camber from the top / pull the top of the tires in.

Also not sure if this is clear but I want to do this low offset 18x10.5 to take away the tire bulge eith 275 on 9.5 and because I don't want to mess with custom trailing arms. And 10.5 ce28n are only available in low offset.

Also worth noting others have come close. Here are pics of a evo8 with 275 35 18 with 18x10.5 +27. So 7mm less poke than what I have in mind. Lots of body work but no repainting.

This is what a 285/30-18 looks like on a 18x10.5+15. You have to do some SERIOUS body work to make those tuck.
