Installation Guide - Evo X Retrofit CCFL Halo Projector Headlights

This is a step by step installation guide for 2008-2010 Mitsubishi Evo X *Retrofit* CCFL Halo Projector Headlights. You can get them from www.dashzracing.com and get the $100 discount at evolutionm.net's market place:

08-10 Mitsubishi EVO X CCFL Halo LED Projector Headlights - Black


Red Inner Halo:




Blue Inner Halo:


Yellow Inner Halo:




These projector headlights has 3 color for the inner halo which are red, blue and yellow, but the installation for all these 3 kind are the same, before the installation start, there're tools that are recommended to use to make the installation is smooth:


Tools Required:
- Handy Remover
- Trim Pad Remover
- Flat Tip Screwdriver
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 1/4" Drive Ratchet
- 1/4" Drive Extensions (6-10 in)
- 10mm Socket
To connect the halo and LED, you need following tools:
- 4 x quick connectors
- 4 x male crimp connectors
- 4 x female crimp connectors
- 2 x red wire, 2 x black wires
- wire striper
- wire crimper
- voltmeter



2. Remove 5 Clips above the radiator and take out the radiator shelf






3. Remove 12 clips and 6 bolts below the vehicle


4. Remove 3 clips and 1 Bolts behind the wheel for left and right wheel


5. Hidden behind the bumper where the emblem is located, there is a clip, a bolt and a harness. Pop out the clip, unplug the harness and take out the bolt.








6. Take out the 4 bolts as indicated by red arrows


7. Remove 2 Bolts right in front the lower bumper


8. Start Pulling from the side and take out the front bumper. Put the front bumper on a safe surface to prevent scratching the bumper




9. Unplug the harness from the light bulbs. Remove the bolts that holding the headlights and pull out the headlights.








10. These CCFL headlights require connecting the resistors, please connect the resistors as followed:






11. Put back the headlights to the location after wiring the halo and the LED. Put back the front bumper and plug in all harness. YOU ARE DONE!

what if you doesnt want the the led strip on the bottom?

then you don't need to wire them and it's not noticeable in the day time.

I noticed that these are not setup for D2S bulbs. Do these not work with the factory HID bulbs?

yes but you need to order them with the adapter in order to fit your stock ballast.

have you guys thought about making a set with out the halos, and led strips? that should lower the price and be great for Non-SSS owners to get Projectors for the low beam
