Hi,

Can the HID from evo x headlight fit into lancer gt headlight housing?

I had a small accident which cost me my headlight(left side) the bracket on the headlight all broken, the front cover break to pieces, but the HID, drl, & signal are still working.

I have to wait for 3 weeks to get the new headlights from dealer (2 weeks from ebay). The genuine headlight cost USD1600. I did find a few lancer gt headlight on the scrap yard. Are the headlight housing of the evo same with the lancer's? Can I put all the component from the evo headlight into the lancer headlight casing. This is my quick solution.

I did my research, there a lot of project of fitting HID into lancer headlight, but not one are found doing what I want to try.

If your talking about just in short retro fitting your x components into the gt housing i dont see why not. I mean as long as you have got the patience for it. I wouldnt think the actual head light housing would be different excluding the hid part on the back of the gt housing.
