I was a little worried about Rexspeed's fitment on their vortex generators, but to my surprise, it fit just fine… nice and easy.
I'm thrilled with the final fitment. I wish I would have done this right away! It's the little details like this that REALLY transform the car and make it look so much better… Huge fan of the VG's as they're quite unique to the Evo and give it a more aggressive loo.

Bumper is at paint… I pick it up Tuesday. Until then, it's time to pull it all apart:
I plan on modifying the OEM crash beam. Grind it, sandblast it, paint it and install it:
As always, when I take something apart, I clean. Going to clean up and paint the crash beam:
I also cleaned up the surface rust under the crash beam and painted it up:
Up next is pulling the wiring harness from the USDM setup.
Modified the crash beam, painted it up for protection, and got it in place…

I was VERY honored to once again attend the "All-Mitsubishi cookout and car show" here in Minnesota and come away with a 3rd place finish in my category. Thanks to all those that attended, voted and put on such a wonderful show!
It's a 450 mile round trip for me and the car and it makes the trip with NO issue whatsoever. I have no qualms about driving the car long distances and being comfortable in it.

As winter is among us now here in MN, and the Evo is in storage, the wheels start turning… With my SVT Focus project now complete with a new supercharger, LSD, suspension and wheels & tires, it's now time to put the "Focus" back where it belongs, on the Evo.
After putting the JDM rear bumper in place, I've been wanting to complete the look with a few more shiny, new JDM cosmetic pieces. I'm going to call this next round of modifications "Project JDM".
I started by finding a fantastic set of these, BNIB:
up next after that, is hunting down a set of rear tails to complete the rear end look. a HUGE thanks to forum member Roberto for hooking me up with these headlights with a fantastic price!! I have an aftermarket HID kit in my Evo already, so these will look absolutely amazing when installed!
