Which do you prefer: a 2008 ferrari F430 or a 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2?

Well, I guess I have resigned myself getting a new CT9A 2006 evolution IX MR or even a final edition 2015 evo X. I just had an epiphany and came to a very mildly used 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 with a very low 3k miles. At the same token a 2008 F430 with 5k miles is also for sale and I'm in a crux as to what should I get? I love the design and drive of the G. The F430 was also nice but at 2008, the only nice option would be carbon ceramic brakes. Searched different forums and they prefer the F430? Why?

Ferrari for me, it's a more pure drivers car... Lamborghini is more of a street car, more for attention than drivers enjoyment (not that it wouldn't be fun to drive)

The above statements are my opinion and not backed up by any fact. Also should be noted I've driven an F430 (in snow mode) but not the Lambo

This is a tough one. The rear end of the F430 looks better than the lambo's. The lambo front end looks better than the F430's. Both are just mad cars to drive.

I would go with the F430, but I will have to admit that I am at a bias since I've always loved the way Top Gear portrayed them haha.

What are these cars priced at? I've always told myself I'd rather have a fleet of 3-4-5-10 cars than an exotic...lol

I'd get the Lambo unless the 430 is a manual. The prices on the 430 are dropping like a rock right now. I predict in the next few years prices on a good one will be around $90,000. Even 458's are selling around $180,000 and prices are falling. Lamborghini fans demanded the factory make a 2 wheel drive car and Lambo answered. I think the LP550-2 will be a more desirable car in the near future, especially if it's a manual.

I guess the demand for the F430 is high right now. In a matter of a week or so, I saw available F430 coupe from 17 samples to just 1 right now from ferrari approved. So with the Gallardo. Prices just dropped to $160k. Maybe a sudden price increase is in the future that's why there is high demand or it just became affordable to some? My friend who owns several aventador and speciales stopped me from getting the LP550-2. He said I should low ball them to $145k or just get a L570-4 which is hard to get. I'll see today if they're ok with it.

$155k is my cutoff without selling my 13 Range Rover Sport. The 458 are at least $200k plus.

I don't see either car appreciating in value unless they are stick shifts. Neither car is a rare or a limited production car. Before you buy one be sure to get a PPI done.

That's why my friend told me to hold off and look for a balboni(which is a 2010 stick shift) or a superleggera 570-4 which he used to have. Then again only 600 of the 2013 coupes were made in 2013, last year of production. However, this "regular" lambo is a beauty in itself! The egear is a 10k option and are pretty reliable vs the F1.

If you're looking for a car that will appreciate, both are wrong, even any kinda special edition. A stick might but not anytime soon

Manual 430's are going up in price right now. They are the last manual mid engine car Ferrari made. Right now the manual 599's are selling over 100 grand more than the F1 gear box cars.

I will make a do over a F430 before buying the bullet. I thought the Ferrari were still using belts in their engines? I guess it's chains just like the Gallardo, though without the direct injection of the 2013-2014.
