Evo 8 bumper on 02 lancer

hey Just wanted to get some info, has anyone tried to install the evo 8 bumper on the lancer at all? And what modifications do you have to do to make it work? Just curious

takes a lot of work: I think you need to swap the crash bar, headlights, hood.... someone else can take the time to explain further

you'd be better off with an evo replica bumper if you really want to go that route

well I really dont want the evo 7, im more of a fan of the evo 8/9 bumpers

I dont think the crash bar would be such an issue anyways if thats all the problem then I might go with that idea

This has been asked many times.. in the future please search as you'll find majority of the answers have been covered.

You'll need..
headlights
fenders
hood
complete evo rad support/front section
crash bar is optional
evo bumper
evo fender guards~ again optional

You first need to weld up the evo front section.. after that the fenders, bumper, lights ect.. all bolt into place.
Headlights will need to be spliced in unless you want to get a evo headlight harness as well.

You better have some money to even consider this as its way more expensive then just buying a evo style bumper.

I'll also add I personally think it looks terrible to have the wide front section and the regular rear.. just looks out of place.. again if you search you will find a guy with a yellow lancer who is rocking this setup if you'd like to see some pics.

Cheers

exactly what he said.... wide front end and a skinny rear kinda looks bad

to second turbo time.... thats alot of body parts, alot of painting.... alot of $. when the lines fit an evo7 conversion much easier... the amount of body work on taking off your fenders, gettin new ones attached, hood, bumper, new bumper support, headlights.... thats gotta be at least a few $1000 at minimum...

but a side not, if you do it.... id still wanna see pics, PIC ****** UNITE.
