Evo 8 with an evo 9 front bumper

I have an OEM ix front bumper on my evo viii. There is about half an inch of space in between the headlight and the bumper. Is there something wrong with the bumper? installation? or do I have a body frame issue? Does the fake bumpers fit better? Is the evo 8 body just different so theres no way for a better fitment? Thanks guys! The gap is annoying the crap outta me!

The "gap" is from NOT using correct/undamaged brackets.

Anyone got any advice on where I could get the brackets? How much is a new OEM ix bumper going for these days? New?

I have the same issue man. I have a VIII with a IX front bumper and there is a gap. Very annoying but I have learned to live with it because my car has been in a front corner accident and the radiator support was rewelded. Is that the issue?

Please look this up. I have a viii with a ix front end. I figured out a ghetto rig with NO visual signs and should help you come up with a solution of your own!

I'll take pictures once I need to remove my front end again.

I have an VIII with a IX bumper that was installed professionally and no gaps. I plan on going back to an VIII bumper with a chopped nose though...

good information evo 8 to evo 9 front bumper conversion

Ive also been looking around to make the evo 9 bumper stable and not wobble, from not know what the parts exactly are on the dealer front bumper diagram, but this web right here will clear alot of things up and to know exactly what you need, as far as front bumper brackets/support to not be loose. finding this web, made me complete my hunt on what to buy to make things more secure.
