What's up everyone? Just bought a 2003 evolution 8 a month ago. The car came with a cwest cf hood and vis Evo 9 front bumper. I have replaced both the hood and bumper with oem. Just installed the bumper yesterday and it seems that there is no reinforcement bar or bumper support, I'm guessing no reinforcement bar because of the turbo xs intercooler.

So my question is, can I just buy the bumper support and install it by itself or does the bumper support attach to the reinforcement bar?

 

Depending on how thick the IC is, you may have to trim the front crash beam.
I have a few laying around let me know if youre looking for one

 

That's not what I meant. I'm asking can I use the bumper support without the crash beam? On some cars the bumper support mounts to the crash beam. So without the crash beam you won't be able to use the bumper support.

 

Anyone? I see the diagram online but I cant tell what the bumper support attaches to.
