No the wirinng is not the same... I read on another post that all the speakers are powered off the infinty amp... I believe this is under the seat... should have one wire from the radio to the amp, and each speaker (7 total) out of the amp...so if I am correct you will essentially needto re-route all of your stereo wires....

You should be able to hook it up as a regular after market install I would think I have not done anything to mine. But if the wires are like he says they are bypass run new speaker wire to the amp. If that would.n't work go aftermarket and hook eveything up on a jacks. You'll get crisper sound that way anyway.

i was talking to one of the mitsubishi techs and he did not know about the wireing for two different systems so i think that i am going to go with an after market system this is becomming to much of a headache just for a system that doesnt hit that hard anyway.

You are going to have to bypass the factory amp probly I had that same problem with a nissan maxima with the BOSE system. And i had to do that.

search soundgate adapter, or head unit adapter. you will find what you are looking for.
