Touch-up Paint help
Hi everyone hows all ur lancers doing? well I got hit a week ago and all it did was make a deep scrach on the side of my rear bumper and I got some touch up paint and put it on. then today i looked at it and it still didnt look right. I dont think i put it on correctly so if any one can help me with any advice on applying touch up paint I would really greatful.

Too bad about your ride gettin hit. That kind of crap kills, especially when you love your car! I tried touch up paint on a "deep" scratch on my old car and it never looked right either. Better on very small stone chips though because it's so contained and not spread out like a scratch.

That's funny because the same happened to me within week 1! I bought some blob remover at langka.com
Haven't used it yet because I have to buy some touchup paint, but the website is helpful and the reviews look promising.
Basically, you layer on a bunch of touchup paint, so it looks like a blob covering the scratch. Then you use the blob remover to soften the blob and smooth it out for a nice blend.

Well so far it doesnt look good everyday for the past few days before work id make a new layer and it still dont look good. to Discribe it well........ its looks like coloring on a big black piece of construction paper with a white crayon.

Yeah, nice find man! I'll have to try this out on the nice 4" scratch my g/f did to my rear bumper.
I kinda got sick watching his pics though... man that color is ugly! It suits the RS-X very well...

Lol ya. I have a bad shave on my front bumper. Skimmed the paint off all the way to the plastic. Its actually not so noticeable because the paint is black, and the plastic underneath is black also. Eh.

meh i still think its one the better walk throughs for ppl who dont know how fix stuff like that. Maybe if you did a better walk through for evom members, that would be awesome
