would anyone be able to assist me or give me tips on how to remove the front bumper? I did a search, but only found one for the 02-03 lancers..but am interested in an 04+ model bumper.

thanks in advance!

It's super super easy. If you get under there and start removing every clip that looks like it's holding the bumper to the frame, then you'll have it off in no time.

So is it only the clips underneath the car that hold the bumper? I'm pretty sure there's a couple more clips within the the top area..

would i also need to take out the clips in the wheel well?

the reason why i'm asking is because i'm trying to remove the headlights...and had such a hard time. it just wouldn't budge after taking all the bolts off...

thanks anyhow...anyone else have more info on this?

Ill try to count em all for you.
this is by memory and its 4:30am so cut me some slack. heh

2 or 4 underneath
4 under hood
3 in each wheel well
and 2 bolts inside. you hafta pull the top part of the bumper back to get to them.

hope i got it close. but yeah its easy. just take off everything you can find that you think is holding it on. give it a few wiggles and voila!

could anyone possibly take a snapshot of every single bolt that needs to be removed in order to take off the bumper? I'm retarded!

LOL, you always have a cool diagram for everything Myszkewicz! Now I'd be real impressed if they were animated.

Anyway, back on topic, I just took off my front bumper a few weeks ago and the only thing you have to be careful of is breaking the clips in the wheel well. I broke two of them (damn!) and have to go get some from the dealer one of these days.

Oh yeah, don't forget to disconnect your foglight wiring, and jack up your car to make everything that much easier. There's also two bolts behind the front grills (like the diagram shows). Don't be afraid to pull, you can't be too gentle or it'll never come off.

Bottom center. Easy to get to from beneath the car.

I was going to make it a step-by-step animation, but that was too many frames.
