has anyone attemped to install a cf trunk by urself?

i just got my vis cf trunk, i was wondering if disassembling the stock trunk is hard?
removing the lock, lock cable, removing the frame behind the licence plate.

any tips?

Taking it off is easy. Its just 4 nuts on the suppourt beams, and removing the brake light and what not. Putting the new one on is a bit harder on your own because someone has to hold it up while you tighten it in place. I know people who have put CF hoods on my themselves so its not that bad, the trunk lid only weights like 17 lbs right?

yeh its light

im just worried about disasembling the lock and the lock cable. I dont have the break light on the trunk, its acually inside of the car becuz of my evo8 spoiler.

you should be able to do it, you could always do it with the trunk closed laying in from the fold down rear seat. Just put a good light in there. It may be easier than trying to hold it and screw it on in an upright position.

just tkae ur time when i put mine on i used a dremil to cut and shap holes to hide the cables and stuff but just take ur time and disassemble carefully
