tension bars in the trunk

i was working on my car yesturday and i wanted to adjust my CF trunk so it would be flush (it kinda has a gap on the sides). i removed one of the tension bars so that it wont go flying open and now one side is flush with the rear fender and the other side still has a gap.... i was wondering if i took out both tension bars will my trunk not open when i pull the trunk release from the inside?

oo I made this mistake. I can easily fix it but when you do that there is nuthin pulling up on the trunk when u pull the lever. If you take out the 2nd one you will have to either have 2 ppl to open the trunk lift a little before u pull the lever and wedge somthin in there. Its a pain in the ***. And its hell tryin to get the tension bar back on. Im goin to be trying to adjust mine here soon whenever I get some time. I wanna just have one tension bar and weld the bracket that it latches to a little lower than it is now. I know what u mean its been a nightmare tryin to get this trunk on perfect
