Trunk alignment ?

Have a 03 evo viii with I believe a stock trunk and no know accidents. My trunk has a gap between the taillight and the trunk on drivers side only. I'm wondering if I can fix it myself or have to take it to a shop also can't tell if trunk is bent or the bumper/frame... Or if it's something more simple. I'll post pics.

mine has a slight gap as well but on the opposite side. I wouldn't worry about it I'm sure it's fine. Just check the vins and see if everything matches.

There is adjustment with the mounting holes. 4 bolts 2 on each side 10mm IIRC. Loosen them up and go to town straightening it out.

Also check the rubber weather strips do see if any is bumpy/protruding out. That can cause uneven gap

just loosen the mounting bolts and see if you can get it to match closer. there should be some amount of adjustment in the mounting holes to take care of most of that gap.

Yeah I think it's pretty normal. My 9 was like that too. I swapped out the trunk for a CF wingless one and I used washers to balance them out.
