Get an Evo rear deck lid brake light...or there are generic/universal ones everywhere.

just get one from the dealership its actually pretty reasonable i got the evo one from them. the only PITA is i believe you have to do some cutting in the rear deck to install it, idk i had a friend in the shop do it but it looked like a real pain. but definatley get one asap because i went without one for a while and i ended up getting a $50 ticket for it.

I run no 3'rd brake light on my lancer in summer cause i took my stock oz wing off for a evo wing. no cops have given me issues about it and ive had a few right behind me through town. when i went to get it inspected they failed me on it though so I put my oz wing/stock trunk back on for winter.

Not really. On older cars, it's hard to tell if they're braking or not since their brake lights aren't always bright. Third brake light is like a verification that, yes, they are braking.
