Mods Make a sticky on how to bypass ECU fog relay - this allows you to turn your fogs on with just the parking lights.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY FOR AN 05 TYPE FUSE BOX

Basically you take a thin wire, I used 24 gauge, stuff one end of it on the bottom right corner connector of the foglight relay, and stuff the other end of it into the 6th hole from the left on the bottom row of the headlight relay box connector.

Use the last one with the thumbnail for sticky.

I'm in the process of testing a setup being sold by an EVO owner which bypasses your ECU and allows you to turn on your fogs anytime you want. The thread isn't that old you probably could find it, just search in the Ralliart Show & Shine Section... Probably 2-3 pages back in the history.

So anyone else tried this?

I tried following your instructions and stuffed the wire like you showed in the picture, but still couldn't make the fog light works without my headlight on.
I'm not sure if it problem with my connection or my wires somehow?
Any more updates on this?

After messing around with making a "black box" to accept the factory button signal to turn on/off the fogs at will, I have gone back to the tried-and-true method of using a toggle switch to ground the fog relay control circuit. It has never failed to work as intended.

Yea I had a whole PIC chip and programming system setup, but there was a ton of feedback coming back and something wasn't working right cause when i hit the horn it would flip my fogs on/off so i took it all out. I have the unit sitting in front of me now, I'm just at a standstill as to why my damned horn was turning it on/off.... I think the relay's might have somethign to do with it so i might try to relocate the relay or something...
