We don't have one, since idle is pretty much controlled by the ECU. There is an idle screw that's preset from the factory, but it shouldn't ever need adjustment, unless it's been messed with.

thanks for the reply otter. Now im stumped. My service engine light is on, when i took it to a mechanic and he hooked up to the diagnostic computer it read that the problem was the idle conrol valve. I have never messed with it so im wondering what the deal is.

ICM Issue

Hello
Reading your thread and I may have the same issue.
My code is P0507 (if I remember)
I recently cleaned the throttle body and also removed the ICV. I ran smooth and no issues for about 60+miles and then it went on
I have no clue as to what it may be
Can you advise
Thanks

depending on mods, different cars have an idle relearn procedure. I'm not sure if this is valid for the 2004 lancer, but you could check it.

also,

A P0507 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:

A vacuum leak
Leaking air intake after the throttle body
EGR valve leaking vacuum
A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve
Damaged/failed/dirty throttle body
Failed EVAP system
Failed IAC (idle air controller) or faulty IAC circuit
