Does anyone know the pinout for the potentiometer on the dash dimmer?
Most of the Instrument cluster lights are burned out/not working, and I do not have time to rip the entire cluster apart to replace the bulbs (yet).
I do have a small LED light bar that is sufficent to light up the entire instrument cluster with little to no bleed. I would like to wire it into the dimmer so that when the headlights are on, and to make it dimmable.
When I have the time (in a few weeks) I will be replacing the dash lighting and AC controls with either red or blue bulbs.

I don't remember the pinout of the dash dimmer...but I did splice into those wires in my EL gauges, so this is certainly do-able.
That being said...if taking the time is what's been tough...honestly, it will take less time to take out the cluster and replace the bulbs.

I know it's not what you're asking, but the cluster can be ripped out in less than a minute by removing 4 screws. Replacing the bulbs would be faster than splicing in a new light.

^ very easy to do! i have replaced the bulbs a few times now, and i have also hooked up the lights for my gauges through the fog light switch. works great!
