I used 1200 degree black paint that looks like primer and it still blistered a little and that was just on the underside of my heat sheild. 500 degree chrome paint will come right off.

BTW....I've also had my heatshield off for a while now....no problems...

Also, for anyone who's painted there header w/ high heat paint. Is there a gasket that needs to be replaced or anything? I've never had one off so I don't know. thanks.

Hey C'mon I still waiting too...

Quick question(s): (little off topic) I noticed that the RRM CAI says 5-speed only. Why would it not fit auto? And where could I get a CAI that fits my auto RA and still matches with the red color scheme? What's the difference between the SRI and the CAI?

A full CAI will not fit on an auto because the transaxle is where the filter needs to be. Auto's are bigger since they need a large fluid pan, valve-body etc. to operate.

The Short Ram Intake is just a small extension off of the throttle body that places the filter above the transmission.

the CAI is usually more effective than an SRI yes. According to AEM's dyno sheets, their SRI makes 4.1hp, while their CAI makes 12.6hp over stock. The SRI numbers are off an automatic car, the CAI was from a manual.

I find it a little hard to believe that they r getting 12 horses out of a cold air, but its possible, its a big topic about which is better cai or sri, cai may get more power but could suck up some water, some ppl think there is no difference. I have a sri and love it but ive never had a cai so i have nothing to compare it to. do a search on it and ull find a ton of stuff

Hey thun, I don't really see the point of engine dress up, especially on a completely stock car.

I just haven't saved up enough for the Air Intake. But I'm almost there. It's the next thing I have in mind that's why I was wondering the difference between the SRI and the CAI.

Thun, from what i have been reading most people have said the SRI and CAI produce very similar numbers. i have RRM's SRI, i love it. it has a great sound, and according to the old butt dyno, it did add some HP.
