grill painting

Has anyone painted thier Ralliart grill? I was just wondering. I painted mine this weekend and it turned out great. I was more curious if anyone had done it, what colors they chose to go with thier car color. I went with Red on my Thunder Grey. Pictures may be coming soon if the rain lets up a bit.

yeah no problems, I'll get those up as soon as I can. I should be able to take some pictures tonight as it seems to have stopped puring down rain here. I think it came out pretty well and adds a little color to the front end taking away attention from the butt ugly headlights. with the flames that are getting added to my hood, it will look slick.

I was gonna cut the plastic fins out, repaint the outer layer black, and then put black mesh into it. That would the closest thing to painting or modifying them. I also might drill some holes through them and put some LED's facing towards the radiator to light it up a little and wire it up to the headlights. I'd use only white (clear) LED's so that it is more of an accent than attention attracter...

interesting response I got for my idea but I think you are all getting the wrong idea. I'm having ghost flames put on in a metallic grey that is three shades lighter than my current paint job. I'm not exactly sure why you all want to diss the idea but I guess its all good. Its not like I'm putting neons or LED washer lights or a neon shifter knob or anything

I think it's because were were thinking you'd get bright-*** orange flames. Ghost flames I can see, though I'd prefer 1-2 shades darker rather than lighter.

darker might get a little to lost I did darker ghosts on my purple Nova and they just got so lost you had to really stare at the doors to even see them
