BlackRalli, I have the same issue.....here is how I'm gonna fix it. These guys are gonna MOLD the side skirts and rear bumper to the car (I guess with bondo/fiberglass) so it looks like the car just came that way. It's gonna cost 'cause it's on some "Pimp My Ride" type Ish, but it will be worth it! I need my whip now though, so I'm gonna get it done in a coupla months. That will prolly be your best bet!

to get the side skirts to mount flush with the sides, we heated them with a heat gun (before painting) and got them to fit perfect, then added a fiberglass backing to the front and back of the side skirts where it comes up. Because they are hallow you cant put any tape on it. When they were done painted they body shop used the double sided tape that is used on moble homes, cause the 3m one just wont stand up to florida heat. Also we used a adhesive starter stuff. It worked good, they look factory and didnt have to use bondo. Cause i will want to remove the kit when i go to sell the car in a year.

Robert

I tried painting my mesh black and it just maid it look like thier was nothing their, so i went with just silver mesh.

You're right....it looks there is nothing there, but that's aiight tho. I'm gonna get a mitsu emblem and put it where the "tooth" was and BAM!!....a levitating logo!! Kinda like the ones on the mustangs that are hanging there, ya know?

My kit looks great though! Hopefully I'll have some pics up by this weekend. The best part is that no one in Las Vegas has this kit! I was eating at McDonalds tonight and when I was dumping my tray, I saw like 3 cats checkin' out my whip. So I did what we all would do....hit the Viper Remote Start on dat azz!! I come out the door, unlock the car door (chirp, chirp!), get in and roll out real slooooooooow. Gotta luv it!!

The shop said that my bumpers had a lot of little cracks in them they had to bondo....you notice any "imperfections" at all?

I took pics on my punk azz camera phone....now it acts like it forgot how to e-mail.

Hey black ralli. did you lower your car? I'm sure gald I didn't because my rear bumper comes down HARD on speed bumps.....extra caution with those, I'd say....Oh yeah, I kept the stock hood too....

Sir, Removing a Bar does not put you on hazzrd,. Its just a requirement by the Goverment. Japanese vehicales do not have these bars in Japan, but they still do have highways and there speed is above 70 - 80 mph.

Many European countries including UK does not have this bar, This is why they allow grey imports from Japan.

Its only a safety requirement. Its just small 2X3 inch bar which will not last nor take a impact in high speed crash. Also the rear is such that its takes a full blow and absrobs that impact. We are speaking of High Speed Impact.

But if you have kids - I think of the kids first, than a body kit. I guess many have spoken of the issue, so we are working on this as we love our customers.

But if you do have the Short Spec Kit, it will not do any harm.

Please read the following email from the Customer of us who met with an accident.

Your Full Name :Benigno Lopez
Dallas, TX 75228

United States

I was in an accident 2 days ago, i was a week away from finally getting the kit painted too, long story short the front bumper really took a beating. I thought if i was ever in a accident i would be dead but im not so that means u guys are making some good **** but i must say the bumper was distroyed. I was really satisfied with the kit, it got me lots of complement and it fooled a lot of people into thinking my car was and evo. Well look forward to having my car back to normal thanks for the great gear

anyone with the accolade side skirts....did you have to shave any little parts down or use something like bondo to fill any gaps?

importstylz07.. you don't HAVE to use bondo to shave it in.. i'm going to shave in the sides and rear bumper later on. my kit is on and painted.. if you're not really careful with the sides, a small gap will show.. but, it's easily fixed with a little time and patience. i hope to have pics up soon. like i said, i still have a little work to do to the car, but it's in great condition right now, i'm just going to shave it all in later on though.

Hey BlkRalli, are you going to put a longer tip on your muffler? Might not be a big deal 'cause your kit is black, but I'm getting black exhaust juice on the rear bumper right under where the tail pipe is. Can you relate to this at all?
