First off, window tint takes 3 or 4 days to cure - not 30. If you go to a good shop they will give you a warranty. If they think its too cold and it won't work, they won't do it. I don't know where you are, but if you bring it in the morning and they leave it in the shop all day, you should be able to take it home and be ok.

we do window tinting at my work it is all done in a controlled environment, also use a high quality film. by the time you pick up your car most of the water will be gone. any body in the fort walton beach area that needs window tinting done we use computer cut software which enables us to do any custom tinting. every thing is cut by computer so no knives or ugly edges.

speaking of tinting windows, does anyone have prices on that? The cheapest I've been told is $210. That seems high to me.

Getting them tinted in the winter just takes a little longer to cure (couple more days). I used to tell people to wait 7-10 days to roll down the windows or clean them, just to be safe. If you get a warranty, this shouldn't be a problem.
Had mine tinted 20% w/ eyebrow for $120 last month.....but that was "friends and family" pricing

20% back window
35% all 4 side windows.
= 150 bucks

20% windshield visor banner
= 30 bucks

altogether = 180 bucks. with warranty
Custom Concepts in Montclair NJ.

i'm pretty satisfied with thier work there, just some little bubbles on the back...

Wow. I'm glad I live in NY. All tint places around here are like $100-$150 with warranty.
