Sub cutting out
I have a 04 ralliart with a pioneer avic-n1 deck, a rockford t10001bd amp powering a t115db 15 inch rockford sub I had a RF p5002 amp powering it before and it was cutting so i got the t1 now its still cutting and they say I need a new battery maybe a cap..anyone come across this before cuz i dont really take ultimate electronics word for anything anymore.
what impedance are you running the sub at? Even if you're at 4 ohms, 500 watts is still probably a little much without a cap. Are your lights dimming when the bass is pounding? If so, you'd probably need to get a cap.
I've never run that much power on stock batteries. The most I ever did was 350 watts @ 2 ohms, and that was just fine with a stock batt, no cap.

I took it in to them warrenty and all so I dont know what its running at im pretty sure its at 4ohm and he charged my batt and it worked fine at low volume I cranked it up and all the lights in the car dimmed bad but he said a cap would only be like putting a bandaide on it and i needed a beefier battery in it I think the amp right now putting out 750 rms
and never let ultimate elec or best buy mess install anything nothing but probs
