I'm going to swap in a new head unit, but i'm keeping it up top, i'm going to custom fab for the cubby hole below and put 2-3 gauges, along with the A-pillar pods.

I think from any dealer. I bought mine from a friend.

I bent the little clips out a bit, and it hooks in well. In fact under hard acceleration the clip frame around my radio has fallen off, but the Omori holds fine.

i don't understand why people put gauges on the bottom.. it's practically useless, and if it's just fo looks, then why bother

I'm 1) lazy 2) different. I'll prolly craft them to look up drivers side direction so it won't be that much of a strain.

and if i put the AVIC-N1 pioneer H/U in, then it would be impossible to use down there

yeah, that part of the dash is the same on all US lancer models. Other countries get the sweet climate control and navigation systems

it has nothing to do with lazy or different..

if you really want gauges, just use a-pillar or steering wheel mount... at least the gauge will be of some use

or get the HKS CAMP system if you going to use the avic-n1

Where do you buy this $18 kit? I've only seen the factory mitsu relocation kit.

the $18 kit is just the trim piece. you can use it if you're gonna use the brackets from your headunit to move it down. otherwise, you need the full kit (the $50 one)

What is the Part # for just the pocket? As far as I understand it looks like it will all bolt together using those two L brackets.. and the pocket is the only thing holding me back? I never understood what the difference was/is.
