Relocating head unit

Relocating head unit

Hey i am putting a center console gauge pod in my car and 3 60mm gauges are going where my head unit is. I know people have moved ther stock radio into there cubby hole. But since i have a aftermarket head unit i am not sure if it will fit, has anyone done this our thought about it? i need help thanks guys

I don't see why it wouldn't fit, unless your new HU was a lot larger than the stocker somehow.

will work, they are both single din units. i've seen people that have done it. can't remember who though.

there is still about 3-4 inches of cleareance in front of the shifter, so even tilt down face headunits will work fine down there

This is what I want to do... what 3 guages are you putting in? I'm thinking about using 52mm though with black backround, even though dash has white?!

i have 3 blitz blm carbon faced gauges, an di ahve the JVC KD-AR 7000 head unit

those are the Autometer Ultralite silver - Boost, Pyro (EGT) and Oil Pressure. I also have the Oil temp one, but not installed. I wanted the black-faced ones, but I got the silver SUPER cheap used, so I took 'em. They look good in a silver car. The gauge mount is Omori. Here's a slightly clearer view:

i got that omori plate too, but it wasn't secure so i ditched it.. how you get it to stay in like that?
