Hmmm!! Hope mine doesn't do that because I would be pulling it apart to figure it out. How was the install part of it? I've installed CAI's before but every car is different.

its eazy.. it comes with directions. after you take out the stock airbox(6nuts, 2 pop out nuts) lol.

you can either take off the bumper and put it that way,

you can either take off the black plastic guards on the bottom of the car and just fit the CAI in...

or take off your wheel and put it through the wheel well...

real easy. took me 30 minutes

Sounds good. I was just hoping it wasn't one of those pain in the ***** like some are. Something I read (i think it was on a review of the product) said that they had to cut away a piece on the car so that it would fit. I'm taking it you don't have to do that right? Which way did you do it and recommend doing it?

Cool, thanks. I'll post if I have any questions while I'm installing it. It sounds pretty easy though so I should be good. I'll let you guys know what I think of the performance in this high @$$ altitude.

You sound exactly like me. I liked things to break so I could try to fix them.

I just got my CAI from UPS about 20 minutes ago. I'm going to try to find time to install it tonight and I will let you know what I think.

Ok, I got my CAI installed and I like it. I can tell a difference in performance. It's not drastic but I can feel it more in the high RPM's. It's d@mn loud though. pinoynoskillz, I think that loud rattling noise that you said you hear right before it shifts is just the air being sucked in. It start around 6,000 RPM and goes until it shifts. It's a really loud noise that's almost annoying but I'm pretty sure it's normal. It does it if I put my car in neutral and rev it up high too so it has nothing to do with the shifting, it's the RPM and the amount of air being sucked in. Anyway, the instal was pretty easy. It took me a couple of hours but that was from when I pulled into the garage to the time I took my test drive plus I stopped to eat dinner.

Sure is. They have the intakes in stock too. I ordered mine and I got it in six business days. Not too bad for ground shipment.
