Mod Bashing??? WHY
First thing I would like to say is that as a mod and a forum admin on several other forums I know how difficult it can be to make the masses happy. ADMIN/MODS have one of the hardest jobs on a forum. They have to content with 1000's of people and 1000's of attitudes etc. What works for one person doesnt work for others and your NEVER going to make everyone happy. The main point is your MODS should in someway be a reflection of your member base. When your MODS become "bigger" then the site then you run into problems. NOT ATT ALL implying thats the caser here. I think there are some AWESOME mods on here. I have not always been a model citizen and have been talked to and in most cases had my issues resolved with professionalism and repect. Having said all that there are also some instances of the complete oposite. I have gotten a reply of " Because I'm the mod and I said so" there are a couple of "not so good" apples that make the majority of the really good admin/mod team here look really bad. Your never gonna make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time, thats a given but consistencey is the key.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

hey,
thanks for taking the time to write this up, we appreciate the feedback. also, if you have encountered a mod that you feel is behaving in a not so professional way, please let either the admins or one of the other mods know.

I would report you as being "not-so-professional", but hey, you will probably ban me before I get the chance.

Oh I have. I got the "company line" about how the job is tough etc. And I have no beef with that, but I think if that person cant realize it then your in a no win situation.

thats a tough one to be honest. i guess you can try to have another mod talk to them and see if it helps. if it doesn't just do your best to avoid that specific mod. well, you know that you can always find me either here or on aim so feel free to hit me up...
who changed my post? I was the second post now I am third, plus it has been edited. Personally I feel for smoked , I felt exactly how he does now about Blonde except I felt it towards Timzcat.
Mods are people too. They have arrogance, pride just like everyother member. What keeps me from throwing stones is exactly what I just wrote , mods are people too . They make mistakes they won't admit to just like us.
Overall smoked, you'll be fine. When I was banned I had some shiat to say about it but what good did it do? nada, another timeout. Timzcat even wrote me a Pm afterwards saying basically,
"what you do from here decides what type of member you are\become . Most get banned then come back only to wreck havoc because they feel it was unfair, and get perm banned. You were a contributing member before don't let this change things"
I never responded but I secretly apologized to Timzcat in my head and realized I was letting my beef with timzcat effect how I treated other members.
Timzcat if you read this; I got your back. anyone else sorry if there is errors I am on my treo.

The only beef I've ever had with mods is when entire threads disappear.
I understand that it is a pain in the a$$ to clean up threads and to try to keep things civil at times ... kind of like herding a group of 4 year olds around at the zoo. But, IMO that is part of the responsibility of being a mod. It's mostly a thankless PITA, since when you do things right you generally go unnoticed and when you get too drastic you get nothing but complaints. But, hey, just like nobody is forcing us to be on this site, nobody is forcing anyone to be a mod...
Having said that, I'd like to say a big thanks to Speedlimit for being one of the most levelheaded mods I've seen yet.
And to all the mods: Please don't delete threads. If a thread turns into a flame fest, lock it, clean it, and either re-open it or keep it locked, but don't delete good info.

I did just that and got a 10 day ban for it. I told spt how I felt and next thing I knew, I was banned.
It doesn't matter, it's a lose lose situation. Just like when Vegasboy got banned for his Seven Hills run vid. AMS was posting up street racing vids and were not warned or banned. Vegasboy got straight up banned for a film that was sped up and doing donuts in a parking lot.
i got banned for one thing but i really think it is because i was speaking out against a particular vendor, then the same day was jokin around in off topic and called one the mods a homosexual in the "post something about the person above" thread. i think i really got banned because of arguing and speaking out against the vendor. o well, what can you do?
